Deflated mattress offers no good night's rest.

Jeff here.  Nice weather last night in Montreal at the campground.  Slept okay, might have a leak in the mattress pad as I was basically sleeping on the tent floor/ground, which was set up on sand.  I will have a look for any leaks tonight in Ottawa.  John Dow met us at the campground at 8am sharp and we loaded up the canoe and got everything else packed in the car for the trip to Ottawa.  John had a plan to get through Montreal and boy, it worked.  Went through the city without any problems.  Didn't even stop once in traffic!  Had to get over to ISR for a BBQ at noon.
Well, the rain started falling as we came into Ottawa, and continued during the BBQ.  Oh well....  Thanks to ISR for having us and the ALS event there!  Mmmm, hot dogs.
Had some running around to do in Ottawa.  Logistics stuff and whatnot.  From this point on Frank and I have decided to take a safety-car as a backup; we simply cannot hitchhike when rides are unavailable as we will undoubtedly get stuck overnight and not maintain our daily schedule.  We will still accept rides though!  Anyone willing to carry the canoe for us can still do so, just give us a shout!
Off to southern Ontario tomorrow!
